Lopeti Etu – Designer, Model And The Coolest
When I first met Lopeti in NYC I was intimidated by how beautiful he was. He was a 6’4” Tongan model that everyone in the Village knew, or wanted to know, and he was hot, hot on the scene. I loved going out with him to clubs and bars because just being with him I felt more beautiful, and even better, usually everything was free!
We’d walk into a place and people would be staring, staring, and Lopeti was so good at looking bored, because I think he really was bored. He thought I was crazy. I loved drama and I loved to party, while he had the island thing going, and preferred just to chill and be creative. His voice was mesmerizing and I always felt frivolous around him. It’s funny, I never thought of that before.
