Hydrogen Car: A Power Plant That Follows You Around

by Jeffrey H. Church

Our The Tomorrow File will cover fantastic inventions and innovations in tech and science that either haven’t happened yet, are in R+D, or that are much closer to imagination then implementation. Elevator to the Moon post was the first.

** The exhaust of a hydrogen engine is pure H2O, which can be used at home or elsewhere, providing energy and water at no real cost to ourselves or the planet.

A day in the life of a Hydrogen vehicle

Starting at home
1. Unplug the car and drive.
2. Park at work, school, etc
3. Connect fuel from building to vehicle (see diagram below)

Vehicle is left on when parked, providing power to the plant, office or home. Refilling networks are provided at central locations. There is no fuel charge since the vehicle creates energy for the network. The car is part of the value of the house, office, community, etc.

4. Unplug and drive home
5. Plug in at home

Home

The hydrogen powered vehicle is providing energy and clean water to the home.

Brilliant Idea, Of course containing h2 safely is kind of an issue still. And we all know the government won't allow for this to be done :)

Right now, work is being done to develop materials capable of transporting Hydrogen safely, using Carbon Nano Tubes (CNT).

And the transference of our current transportation system to a sustainable one is inevitable. Of course it will be gradual, like switching from horses to cars, but petroleum products will become scarce and governments will have no choice. :)
