Keeping A Stiff Upper lip On Facebook

2008 December 5
by Michelle McCormack

One of my virtual ‘friends’ wrote this message on my Facebook wall a few minutes ago. Right away I felt hurt then pissed, and pretty soon – thank god for therapy – okay with it.

The more I add friends and publish, the more open I become to ridicule. Imagine spending everyday with hundreds of people, some coming and going, but many like you trying to be heard above the din? I have to get used to this.

I would have told him you're not “his damn tech support, so figure out what you need to to, or be bored.”

And I'd not take these things personally.

Hey, where's my graphic. I think I figured out to do it all the way across for you.
