TwitBlogs Must Piss Off Twitter
2008 December 13
>>>>>>> UPDATE: Well, apparently this blatant ripoff of Twitter is common. I just stumbled on TwitWall: same as TwitBlog in the extra features but way better interface/experience.<<<<<<<<
Isn’t this copywrite infringement? Intellectual property infringement? I know Twitter has been cool with the 3rd part app providers, but this is taking people right off their site and keeping them.
They import all my friends…
And my background…
Plus, you can switch from TwitBlog’s ‘blog post’ interface to Twitter interface, allowing me never to have to go to http://www.Twitter.com again.

Seems to be kind of redundant. The reason most people use twitter is because of the mobility and simplicity of it. There are so many other full featured blog applications that make this one seem kind of useless short of switching over to a twitter post. Meh…
You must have never heard of http://itweet.net, which has definitely kept me from ever needing to go to Twitter.com. It's my Twitter client of choice. I can access all my settings, updates, DM's etc. It updates automatically. Blatant replacement for Twitter.com, I'd say
Maybe Twitblog is owned by Twitter?
iTweet still keeps you to 140 with no uploads.
I dont think that these guys get twitter.
I think this will fail
Thanks for the review but Twitblogs is not a copyright infringement. We have used the Twitter API with their permission and have been whitelisted by Twitter as an approved application. We are only a complimentary product to Twitter and could not exist without their API approval.
you just answered my question, “what is the point of twitblogs”! i.e. design or usage violation of twitter!
Ah, I was talking strictly about replacing Twitter.com. I actually don't see the point of piggybacking stuff like this onto Twitter. If you want unlimited update length and embedded audio/video, Rejaw is probably a better tool.
If you want an actual blog of short posts with audio/video support, Tumblr and Posterous are better suited.
Okay, cool. Thanks.
I dont think that these guys will get twitter, i think it was not really true
