20th Anniversary Show For MMM… Chilling

Not me (I’m MMM, too), but Maison Martin Margiela‘s Spring/Summer 09 collection.
My first real fashion show was at the Louvre in Paris. I was in school over there and managed to sneak in to Escada and shoot the runway.
You can get in almost anywhere if you act like you belong. I had loads of practice. Back in NYC we’d go to gallery openings in Soho, at least once a week, uninvited, just for the booze. I always lasted to the end – if I lasted to the end.
Anyway, those Escada photos gave me loads of cred back in the City and landed me jobs.
Since then I’ve been to many more,but not like this one. It’s almost creepy, but wicked, and I’ve never heard anyone use The Doors before.

It is odd but it really works….never thought the Doors would fit so well with a fashion show. Thanks for sharing.
