Oxford Lectures On iTunes

2008 December 26

I don’t read anymore. Up until about three years ago reading took the majority of my spare time.  The Internet and Social Media has changed all that, and I no longer have the time, attention or inclination.

Podcasts, I’ve been loving since my first iPod, which I got, not coincidentally, about three years ago.

Recently, I subscribed to a bunch of Oxford University lectures, mostly history, literature (not prose, theory), Internet studies, etc. and it’s been a great substitute.

I was worried about not learning as much since I’m off reading, but now I’m not.

***I tried to get a link but it wouldn’t work, so just type Oxford University in the search field on iTunes.

BTW Princeton and MIT have lectures there, too.

Michelle, reading is important. Especially “No Logo”

Reading the traditional book is not important, to me. Access to information is; integration of information into my general knowledge is. Reading paper is just one method of doing these things. And it's not for me, much, anymore.
