Change Your Twitter User Name

I’ve been beaten that my Twitter user name is MichelleMMM instead of my real name MichelleMcCormack. When I signed up I didn’t know I’d be working in Social Media, or that I would eventually want to be search-able on Twitter and The Web.
If the name you want isn’t already taken, just send an email to username@Twitter.com requesting the new one. They’ll ask a couple of questions and in a week or so, if it’s free, you get it.
Any Tweets sent to the old username will be forwarded, but you should still tell your followers so they can update desktop apps with new name.
