The Beatles – Here Comes The Sun

2009 January 31
by Michelle McCormack

My last couple of months of living in London I was depressed, homesick, sick of the rain and lost. One of my roommates was a DJ and had a bunch of Beatles albums on vinyl.  Sometimes I wouldn’t go to the office, but instead hang alone in his room all day, drink, spin Beatles and Cash records, call everyone at home and cry.

I was bummed.  I couldn’t believe I was so miserable and had to change everything. At the time I didn’t feel I had the energy, but in the end I did. Of course, you have to. You can’t sit in someone else’s room for the rest of your life spinning music and getting wasted. You have to grow up.
