Toronto After Dark is a film festival dedicated to Horror, Sci-Fi and Fantasy.

For a while now I’ve been trying to get off horror, and not too successfully. It’s like quitting smoking, you don’t want to smoke because it makes you feel bad, but you still love the escape.

Horror seems to be getting more disturbing than 10 or 15 years ago. Freddy haunting you in your dreams is terrifying, but deep down you know it’s impossible.

Now we have things like the Saw franchise, where you have some psycho, who really just needs to get a fucking hobby, going around forcing people to kill themselves in self created booby traps. Annoying and a little too disturbing for a Saturday night.

Here’s the trailer for Idiots and Angels. I like the director Bill Plympton, he does cool stuff, and animated horror is just never that bad.
