Wolfram|Alpha could become the greatest research tool ever.  A ‘computational knowledge engine’ that goes beyond the standard Google keyword search by generating results based on computations from its own internal knowledge base.

Google crawls the web and returns links, while Wolfram taps resourced it has gathered and come to understand and then returns information.

What we have is here is the Semantic web, a game changer where computers are ‘thinking’, storing data, and learning as it progresses.

It’s like the opposite of driving a car off the lot.  Wolfram|Alpha can only, by its very nature, become more valuable with every use.
