Japanese Do It Better

Am I not supposed to say things like that? Whatever, it’s true.

Look at Rei, Yohji, Issey, et.e.cet.e.ra, et.e.cet.e.ra., et.e.cet.e.ra… All superior and each having that little something, that umph that’s so hard to explain but so easy to spot.

It’s a feminine masculinity, a masculine femininity, that when someone wears it right goes way beyond fashion and is simply style.

Tomoaki Okaniwa’s ‘The Viridi-anne’ line has it – has ‘that’.

I wish I could give you a link to his site, but suckingly it’s impossible to navigate. And you know, I have to say, when I see a great designer with a terribly designed site, especially a Japanese designer, it cuts a little deeper.

It’s like someone has fucked with the natural order of things.

Well, whatever, here it is, I didn’t design it, can’t blame me.
