NEW VIDEO: Beyonce and (why is) Lady Gaga (in this?)
Beyonce jumps from Sasha Fierce to Betty Page to home-girl and back again for no real reason. Sometimes I think she just wants us to know how good she looks in different outfits, kind of like a juvenile dress-up game that works sometimes, but sometimes (like here) feels chaotic and distracting.
In Bad Romance, Lady Gaga’s latest video, Gaga’s constantly switching it up and it works, there’s a sophisticated narrative backing it up that makes you beg for more visuals. (The suspended diamonds shot is religious)
And really, why is Gaga even in this video, I wonder? I know she’s hitting it hard so does that mean the dream-crew (Jay-Z, Beyonce, etc…) want proximity. Just throw her in, have name association and hope for the best, without tapping into her genius?

I truly love Lady Gaga with her extraordinary dresses but she definitely let herself down this time going out in see through underwear.
