Ever heard of Theo Jansen? Neither had I before today.

Theo is a Dutch artist and kinetic sculptor, although it might be much more accurate to refer to him as an engineer. He builds incredibly complex machines with common, lightweight materials that harness wind energy to become mobile in very unexpected and elegant ways. He’s also just more evidence that Northern Europe produces some of the smartest people in the world. Prepare to be mesmerized and check out the video…

    WOW! how intense is this guy? Some people just think on a different level.

    Amazing, I know! They're like his children or pets, yet he says he has no emotional attachment to them, which I find strange, since the quality of their animation is so life-like.
