Doing Business in the 21st Century is Real

Here we are Skyping with our good friend and work cohort, Thomas Krotkiewski, from his office in Warsaw, Poland. We’re collaborating on a project, building a work deck and hammering out deals, all face-to-face and from the comfort of the couch in our work-live space.

10 years ago, even, this would not have been technically possible. Video conferencing tech wasn’t advanced enough for everyday use and the cost of calling Poland would have been prohibitive.

Today, it’s free; both the phone call and the video chat. Imagine that, we get twice as much value as we did 10 years ago, at a 100% reduction in cost. This allows LoveTheCool to work in the same arena as multi-million dollar companies, but without the yoke of overhead costs or the time constraint of impending phone bills.

The Internet truly is the great liberator.

… and Skype’s character changing features keeps it real.
