… it makes the Facebook privacy shit and Google’s gutting of net neutrality seem over there somewhere; over where the uncool kids hang; where no one’s having fun and everyone’s taking shit way too seriously (and lying about it). I’m going to stay here with Jean Michel, Warhol (of course), perhaps a little Dutch concept art and a whole lot of reminiscing about a CBGB I never went to before 1990.
The Bowery from 1969 to 1989 was a low-rent refuge for artists and free spirits willing to tolerate the alcoholics and homeless men who lived on the street…
