Hackin’ Fashion Series: BROOCHES
When I moved back from Italy a couple of years ago I gained about 30 lbs. Don’t ask me why I though donuts and ice cream sundaes were on-limits on this side, but I did. Luckily, about a year ago I gave up gluten and all 30 lbs melted off me – seriously, without any effort except getting rid of wheat. Easy.
Anyway, the only tragedy in getting over my chunk period is that all of the awesome clothes I bought in those two years don’t fit anymore. I can’t even ‘homie’ make it look good by dressing gangsta because the clothes are just way too big and I end up looking like a little kid wearing dad’s suit.
Take this awesome blazer which used to be tight, tight on me. I loved it – still do – but it’s been sitting in my closet for months because it just doesn’t look good baggy. Along comes my friend Jenn, whose Grandfather was a costume jewelry designer in the 50′s, giving me this awesome brooch for Christmas. Problem was solved. My favorite blazer has now become my newest fashion hack!

I LOVE this! It looks very cool, doesn't it?
Do you remember when I made a comment here about a brooch and you told me you couldn't imagine wearing one?
