Round 4 of #FilmChat, the weekly two our discussion on Twitter between film industry pros, created by us for client Lee Tosca, was a smashing success last night!

16 questions in two hours, dozens of participants, and some seriously great, insightful back-and-forth is exactly why we set up #FilmChat.

By providing a platform for her peers to use Twitter meaningfully, Lee is setting herself up as a content provider and value add to her network.  She’s also creating a very relevant following on Twitter, her Facebook Fan Page and the corresponding #FilmChat Fan Page, which we set up so participants could continue networking off-Twitter (300+ fans by the second chat!).

And by leveraging the Facebook Events feature, through the #FilmChat page, Lee is able to invite all of her personal contacts, Fan Page fans and #FilmChat fans; not to mention LoveTheCool Fan Page fans and my contacts.  That’s thousands of people we are able to invite to chat, every week.

We know how tricky it can be for new users to start using Twitter meaningfully, and #FilmChat gives Lee’s peers two hours to navigate this simple, yet puzzling network within some context.
