But I love it there and miss it so much because of everything else.  Everything about London is cool: the history, the old and new architecture, people, night life, television and radio.  I love BBC’s EastEnders.  I’m the only person  who will admit that, but everyone else does too, they just hide it.  And Peep Show is the funnies thing on English TV, if you ask me.

Then there’s the Jubilee Line which is so cool.  It was built for The Queen’s 50 year anniversary and my place was on it at Kilburn, so my commute was always awesome. And Westminster tube station is so out there, very futuristic and Baker Street is ancient, and all about Sherlock Holmes.

London signage and design is the best I’ve ever dealt with.  The Underground tube map is like 77 years old, and still ahead of its time.

London has such good taste, they effortlessly combine the extremely old with the thoroughly modern, with huge success.

Millennium bridge, amazing. I know they had engineering problems, but you’ve never seen a modern structure that actually adds to the historic architecture, so well.  It’s what Mitterrand wanted The Pyramids to do for The Louvre.

Look at the Tate Modern. This is Olafur Eliasson’s Weather installation where he uses Alluvial film in the ceiling. it could be anytime.

I was into the Rave scene for a while, and the best times of my nightlife-life were there. Fashion – cutting edge. I lived at Portabello Road and Camden on the weekends. Clothes, music and just hanging out with the coolest people on earth.

What was the name of that place in Camden?  Can’t remember, but they had a party every Sunday between 6pm and 9pm, with people dancing in cages, or on the bar, looking right out onto the High Street. No one cared. People in London are cool with things.

It’s was over by 9pm and you’d be home and cozy by 9:30 after tearing it up for three hours.

There are so many things to love about London.  I miss it so much, even the rain sometimes.
